On Sunday morning, Iran’s B squad, comprised of Jamil Kor and Abdulati Nazari, opened the game against Australian rivals in a convincing fashion, picking up most of the points at the semifinal round of the Asian event.
Iranians managed to gain a 2-0 victory over national footvolley of Australia on road to the final round of the continental sportive event.
Footvolley players of Iran maintained the dominance on both sets (18-7, 18-5) subduing their powerful Australian opponent.
In the other semifinal fixture, Thailand A defeated Thailand B to become Iran’s competitor in the final round to be held on Sunday afternoon.
The 3rd edition of Asian Footvolley Championship kicked off in the Thai capital city of Bangkok on May 13, and will run through May 15, 2016.
Footvolley is essentially beach volleyball, except for the fact that players are not allowed to use their hands, and a football replaces the volleyball.
